Diffusing with a cold

altaltSo your the only one in the house with a cold and you want to diffuse Breathe, but not everyone wants that smell?  Gotcha covered. Sometimes the scent of Breathe can be a bit strong so I like to offset it with another scent.  Feel free to add what ever scent you like but I like to add Cedarwood to it.  Lavender makes me relax too much and Citrus Bliss is sometimes just to chipper....and those are my other go to diffuser scents for the whole house.  Cedarwood is a much softer smell and less mood changing at times.

I love the woody smell by it's self to but it works well with Breathe to lessen the peppermint effect.  I still get the benefits of the Breathe oil with out such a strong smell.  This makes it easiser for the rest of the household to except the diffuser.  So give it a shot you might like it.

Sleeping with a cold

| | | Trackbacks (0)

Breathe oilI am currently suffering from a lovely seasonal cold.  Can't sleep well as I keep getting stuffed up. Hate using Vicks as it gets everywhere, but needed something to open up the airways.  Thats when I went to my trusty Essential Oil box and pulled out this bottle of Breathe.  One sniff and this Repiratory Blend starts to open up the air ways.

Add 2 drops to a makeup cotton pad and rub that on my chest and neck and let it go to work.  The cooling effect is such a welcoming feeling.  As invigorating as this oil is I managed to get a decent nights sleep. The following day I put about 6 drops in to my room diffuser  that holds about 500mL of water and diffuesed that in the living room to help keep the airways open.  What a difference it can make.
